
Leona Louise Lewis, born 3rd April 1985. She is an actress an activist, singer and actress of British origin. She was born and raised in the London Borough Of Islington she went to the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, Croydon. Lewis was recognized as a national talent when she won the third series of The X Factor in 2006 which resulted in the PS1 million recording deal together with Syco Music. The Kelly Clarkson cover"A Moment Like This" was her winning song. It surpassed 50,000 digital downloads in just 30 minutes and reached the top spot for the duration of four weeks. In February 2007 Lewis has signed a deal for five albums with the United States with Clive Davis's record label, J Records. Her success continued to grow with the album release of her first studio album, Spirit (2007), which was certified platinum at 10x in the UK and became the fourth most-sold album of the 2000s as well as one of the best-selling albums in UK chart record-setting. Spirit is, as per Official Charts Company is the highest-selling debut album by a female artist. Its lead single "Bleeding Love", which spent seven weeks on its top spot on UK charts, was the top-selling single of 2007. In the US it was also the best-selling single of 2008 and Lewis was named the Best New Artist by Billboard in the same year. She debuted Echo in the year 2009, and she also released "I Love You", the movie's theme track. Lewis' hit single "Collide" came out as a collaboration between Swedish DJ Avicii and she also released Hurt the EP. It was her debut extended performance. Glassheart (2012) was the album that she released as her third studio effort. The album was inspired by electronic and dubstep music. When she was on the Glassheart Tour in 2013, she began writing material to her Christmas debut album. The Christmas album, with Love came out in the latter half of 2013. Its lead single One More Sleep reached the top spot on the charts in the UK. Lewis, one of the few British female solo artist was the first female artist to reach the Top Five with eight songs. This is more than Olivia Newton John's seven-year record.
